Sleeping Pillow

‘Sleeping Pillow’ (2023). The work speaks on finding rest in the madness. Blue is a character that navigates life while  dealing with mental health and illness, and how to find stability in the absurdism of life. Blue is not only a colour in my work, but a medium. The used material (pillow and sheet) in the piece evokes on the ritual of rest and how I deal with feeling overwhelmed in a derealized and depersonalized state. For the only source of medication is by the action of laying down on a pillow and finding comfort.
